Thank You to all the fine folks here for all the tips and advice so I can now smoke a chunk of meat and folks actually eat it.

I have the same one, the igniter will last a few months, the hose will get brittle in a couple years and break. Picked up a new hose @ lowes and reused the old fittings. Still using it and with all the abuse I can't complain.

they have one that doesn't have the fancy igniter(came with a striker) or trigger, just a flow adjustment knob, but it has a good rubber hose that should last quite a while (knock wood)...and it's cheaper.

Have had the one without the igniter for over 4 years with no issues - it stays out in the weather 24/7.

Just picked up a H/F one without ignitor and am quite happy with it. Perfect for pre-heating the cooker. Originally bought a HotMaxx one from Atwoods with a massive leak by the handle - took it back pronto.
