Got some Swedish accessories

Postby Sterno » Thu Apr 17, 2014 4:29 pm

Got some Swedish bushcraft style goodies to help me light the fires and saw some wood.

Love to light the fire with fire steel and a folding saw is quite handy when chainsaw is an overkill.

Those Mora knives are perfect utility knives around the pits. Pretty sharp and a after giving them a minute of strop, I can shave with them!!

Hi,

It has a ferrocerium rod (firesteel, ferro rod) in the handle, so you can strike sparks any time with this knife.
Handy when you don't have any matches or lighters nearby. Just gather a tiny nest of anything that lights easy, pull out the firesteel rod from the handle and throw in a few sparks from the rod with the spine of the blade.

Cheers,
Sterno

Not an authority, but thought I read one time the Marines issued something like this to use w their K Bars.
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."
