Is this the model you guys recommend? Looking at purchasing one, did my first comp yesterday, and boy is it a mother cooking with out a temp guage, im starting to buy stuff from ebay and amazon so id def like a good temp guage

Tappecue (google em) makes a remote thermometer that I use. It has 4 probes that you can assign labels to (brisket, brisket chamber, chicken, chicken chamber etc..., uses wireless internet. so you can use your phone, tablet, laptop. You can graph your temperatures so you can see how your pit is responding and how the meat gets done in relation to your pit temperatures. I believe it runs $199 (Which not much different from 2 of the mavericks)
