Hello Sir, I have never used one as I buy my wood split. I do have a friend who has one and he says it works well with good seasoned dry wood. And he tends to split oak no bigger than a few inches diameter.

I don't mean to hijack your thread but this splitter attachment is pretty freaking cool.

It has peaked my interest. I hate doing the log balance act on my darn chopping block. This will make it less than necessity to keep perfectly straight end cuts :cheers:

The bobcat one is amazing. We burn a lot of pinus radiata here. White pine mainly , it splits real good too.
