New Cambro- Styrofoam Version

Postby Finatic » Fri Sep 30, 2016 1:26 pm

Anyone seen these? Saw them at a restaurant supply store earlier today. They are new. At first glance it's hard to tell they are styrofoam. At $139.99 for the smaller one to me the price is about $40 more than it should be (the larger one is $169.99). But they did show me a cut away and this is much stronger than your average styrofoam cooler. A guy (weighted probably in the 190-200 lb range) actually stood on top of one to show me how strong they are. The hinges and latches are still heavy duty plastic. The door closes tight. To the point where you almost need 2 hands to push it shut. This is about $80 cheaper than it's original counterpart.

I'd be interested to hear from someone who has used one.

Interesting  but "Styrofoam" :?: I can't see long term usage but could be wrong. :whiteflag:

I don't think it would work well for me. It is a lot more solid than I would have ever thought but I doubt it would hold to being hauled around a lot. If someone was going to use them at home or a business and didn't move it a lot it'd be fine.
