I need all the help I can get, Fin, one thing for sure is that it will keep me from peeking to much ?maybe? :dont: :laughing7:

It took some getting used to, but iv got the Maverick as well and THAT is where the looking is done. So you are still LOOKING, but now its glancing at the remote in your pocket ever few minutes.

You will love it.

A Pardnah from the Forum here sent me his old one and I used it on a Spatchcock Chicken in the Pellet Pooper and everything went good except I could not figger out how to get the remote to work. On a cook that quick it wasn't a big deal but I need to get one of my sons or stepsons to come take me by the hand and learnt me :laughing7: :D  I really enjoy the luxury of knowing what the meat I.T. is without peeking and probing.

I have a Maverick but it is a little different than yours but I have to power on the remote before powering on the wired unit in order for mine to connect.

OK, I will try that, thanks  I pretty sure that I did it the opposite when I tried to get it to work.

One More Question Please: If both lines are flashing dashes, am I in the right Mode for receiving signal from the Probes and Probe Box :?: I usually always go with "if everything else fails, then read the instructions" but my Pard had already disposed of those before he sent it to me. :D

I feel your pain OUP cuz I can't get the hyperlink to work but here is a link to the manual online:

Here's a link to a video for that unit:

Yeah Pard, I read some of the testimonials and the probes seemed to be the weak link. I'm thinking that the IT temp probe is what I will benefit the most from. This one will give me a taste of whether I need or even want to upgrade later on and the price was unbeatable  :salut:

OUP, the folks above are right on. You have to turn the remote on before the transmitter (probe box). If they lose connectivity, there is a button on the front that looks something like this:

((.))

that should help re-sync.

Don't forget to pick up a waterproof case in case it rains. I recommend this one …
