Pros and Cons of Leaving it in ?

Postby OldUsedParts » Sat Nov 12, 2016 3:56 pm

I am speaking of the old standard meat thermometer that I have strayed away from since I now have a quick digital and a remote.

However, during the Holidays when things get hectic and Turkeys are King, I'm thinking that on a beer can Turkey the old style thermometer would ?possibly? be the best bet??? See Pic This way I can just take a peek and know where the I.T. is and then go back to taking care of the other things that are also cooking. Any one see any problem with inserting and leaving it for the entire cook on an ECB beer can Gobbler and still getting an accurate reading ??

Long as glass is tempered should be fine
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."
