my new cutting board

Postby CaptJack » Wed May 10, 2017 11:06 am

my new cutting board
my friend Andrew at Big Country Custom Cutting Boards
built me a custom maple, walnut & cherry cutting board
I had him make it 11"x16"x1¼"
so it would fit inside of an aluminum oven sheet pan
instead of having a juice groove cut around the edges
it's also 1/4" taller than the lip of the pan
so you won't hit the lip of the pan with your knife

very elegant board :D
Usually, here in Italy, the cutting boards like that are inaugurated with a well seasoned salami :laughing7:

What a nice board, I'd be putting it on the wall above my dinner table. A work of art.

From someone that works with all 3 species on a regular basis, I will say that is beautiful work.
