Bought some knives

Postby Copasspupil » Wed May 22, 2019 10:31 pm

Saw this guys knives and mentioned how much I loved the look. Next thing, I bought them. I received them today and he threw in a brisket knife. Super balanced and ridiculously sharp.

Love the skinny handles, great for those w small hands (no snickering out there in the peanut gallery).

But laid out like that, a little creepy. Looks like a civil war surgeons kit.

Damascus Steel is a true art, thank you for sharing his info.
I'll ask my neighbor if he knows this guy, he's into knives and guns and lives in Brooklyn when he's not in his house here.

I see Boots's point regarding the display, but I think displaying it in that leather blanket might help in sales.
Definitely looks like Renaissance material

Surprisingly the knives fit well and I wear XL gloves. I love the leather roll. Yes, it looks old school and was done the same way as the knives...quality. Now if I can smoke and grill like the knives I might be going somewhere.

Utility knife with a bone saw back, this smith thought of everything. Enviable.

For a guy that lives in the Big Apple, he's got that set just right. Wow, I'm sure that he will get many compliments on these, beautiful works of art !
That 2nd one down from the top looks like it would be a GREAT Bread Knife !

I may need to open my wallet very soon !

And just for the record, I've seen many Damascus Knives and usually, USUALLY the " edge lines " are not very straight and clean but this guy definitely takes pride in his Art !!!

The stuff looks good but no pricing and he's not very forthcoming. If I have to ask, I probably can't afford it.

The pricing doesn’t matter to me, but i wish he would display the Texas Flag properly.

If I'm reading this right, :dont: that is a pretty good price for 7 custom knives plus the leather cover. Not to mention Damascus. I agree the flag layout should have been better thought out, perhaps a discounted price for the error?

Thanks for the info though, know what just went to the top of the Christmas list.

Gorgeous Damascus. And you rarely see a hook bill like that one, much less a moderate curve.
