NW Florida new BBQ/Smoker

Postby ddbrown » Mon May 03, 2010 2:33 pm

Hello all, Just ditched my propane grill for a beginner Charcoal BBQ/Smoker from "Char Griller"
After some quick searching and reading I can already tell good BBQ/smoking is a science and unique to each grill/smoker. I look forward to some good discussions.

Super Pro Model #2121 with side firebox.

Welcome to the board. FYI - you are going to want to raise the charcoal grate in the side fire box in order to get some airflow in there. If not, you will choke out your fire. That said, it can produce some good que. I just recently upgraded form that same model, but I cooked for 7 years on it.

20" x 40" Party Gator Pit
Custom Mobile Stick Burner
Summerset TRL 32" Built-In Grill
Weber Q2200
48" Custom Firepit
Bertello Pizza Oven

I can't always please everybody. I'm not bacon.

Welcome to the forum, I agree with Toby and you will want to raise the grate on firebox. Have fun here and send in pictures of what you cook up.
