Re: Fried venison
I have an other venison loin and I'm thinking to roast it in my kettle using a mint rub

Re: Fried venison
Hey Tasso, is that venison? Reason I ask is the bone is quite small, I thought it was lamb.??

Hey Tasso. We fry deer a lot down here in Mississippi but I have never seen anything like that before. It was beautiful.

Russ it's deer, specifically roe deer (search it on google) here in italy near the town where I live there are a lot of roe deer, a good population of red deer, some fallow deer and a lot of wild boar....I often hunt roe deer and their size is so small (25-30 kg)

Re: Fried venison
Very interesting, Tasso, at first they remind you of our Texas Whitetail Deer but their antlers aren't even close. Horns seem to not have hardly any spread, nor main beam but forked at tips of tines similar to Antelope. Their rear ends look similar to Antelope also. The meat, however, is very Venison appearing. Thanks for the schooling.
