Given your verbal results here, I have a fun idea for this. I won't lie, it will take some work but I think it's creative and will be visually fun! Think: Bullseye!!

I'm thinking core it in stages. Center core gets stuffed with some ground sausage, outer rings from there get wrapped with bacon. When you cut into it, it should resemble a bullseye and with the bacon/sausage, shouldn't be dry.

Interesting idea, but I really think I'm hanging my baloney hat up for the time being. Even after all the effort the end result is still just baloney.
