This has come up a couple of times here, I used to make it all the time with leftover roast lamb, but with my kids and grandys growing up, there's never any leftovers. So I took a leg of lamb out and roasted it, kept half for sammiches, and used the rest in a pie. I used a food processor to mince the lamb, minced a parsnip, 2 onions. 3 carrots and a sweet tatter. Added home made tomato sauce and Worcester sauce and mixed, then mashed tatters on top and cook for 40 mins. As you can see most is gone already. Daughters coming for her lunch soon, 2 meals for elderly neighbours that are in a home now. Tea tomorrow night.

Lol, our neighbours were good to us, I had a month recovery from surgery 11 years ago, and Betty my neighbour popped over every second day with something. Quiche bacon n egg pie, sammiches etc. they moved into a self catered older person unit about 18 months ago. The place is about 700 metres from my home so I drop them food down at least once a week. They really appreciate good home cooking.the place they are in provide average meals. They love my club Sammiches, good to pay it back.

I'm a great believer in paying back, I also believe it costs nothing to be nice. Just the way my late mum raised me. We grew up in a poor area, everyone helped everyone, I think mum made from scratch pyjamas for every kid in a 50 metre radius, lol. Her sewing machine used to go until late at night. My daughter now has that singer sewing machine.
