If used properly, does aluminum foil help prevent freezer burn vs cryovac or etc :?:

"Used properly" entails eliminating air from the surrounding surface of the food you're trying to preserve. Foil alone will not do it. Wrapping in several layers of plastic wrap THEN using foil to keep the wrap tight to the food will help.

Nothing beats a vacuum sealer though.... IMHO

In my opinion a vacuum sealer is a much needed BBQ accessory

thanks Gents, I have a vacuum sealer but I probably need to get some rolled stock instead of the large pre-cut bags that I have - - - - most of the time what I have will work but occasionally I get a larger cantankerous item that has its own domain :salut: :D

Believe it or not, Ace Hardware usually has those rolls Emm.
They are only a buck or 2 more expensive than like a Walmart
