hard to say, Josh, isn't that about 4 hrs? don't know what your MPG is but if you decide to chance it then I would top off where ever I could when I got close to the parents house - - - it should be OK ?but things are normal?

Oh, I've got the gasoline to get there, but if it's rough up there, I wouldn't have the gasoline to get back. And there ain't no workin' remotely from the Ouachita mountains (nearby).

BTW, I've got plenty of gas. It's just gasoline that could be the problem.

So Texarkana is about midway between me and my folks, and my dad just said that Texarkana has no gas (which I find strange). If that is the case, I am thinking that it might be tight within several hundred miles all over for several days. That, coupled with Labor Day nonsense, perhaps I should stay put.

I was about dry so I went out this afternoon here in Dallas for some gas. Geez, there is a panic going on. I saw prices from $2.39-$4.99 per gallon with about 25% of stations out of gas. I sat in line for about 15 minutes at a 7-11 and filled up at $2.59. On the way home the Texas Attorney General said on the radio that it is panic buying and there is no shortage. He said that there is a large supply in Texas due to lack of sales in south Texas. Getting in that line brought back bad memories of the '70's gas shortage. Anyway, I came home and had a beer and now I feel much better.
