Kids got me a Slow N Sear for Christmas. It gives me the ability to do smaller low n slow cooks on my Weber instead of firing up blue. As well as a rip roaring fire for searing.
Today’s cook is a chuck roast for pulled beef tacos. I’ll post meat pics later.
Took an hour or so to figure out my settings but it’s cruising along now. Also thanks to the FAQ on their website I learned to use binder clips on my weber lit for leak control.
When I started at 9 it was 19 degrees and starting to snow here in Little Elm. I actually enjoy cooking in this stuff. Probably because we don’t get it very often.

Following this sooner
Been looking at getting one for my Weber, but manufacturer is rather proud of it price wise.
Looking forward to your review

Re: Trying out my new Slow N Sear
Bill - I really like it. It is not a set and forget but once I figured my Weber settings I let it go for quite some time (over an hour) without checking. Seems solid as a rock. My next tests will be a pork butt and of course some steaks.
Here are pics of what’s left of the coals (after a six hour burn). It would’ve easily gone 8 or longer. I burned some serious fuel figuring things out. Also is a pic of the meat headed to the cooler for some rest. 205 and proved like butter. Not much bark but I use a fajita rub for the tacos so it doesn’t bark up much. Bark test will come on the butt.
Thanks for looking guys.

Looks and sounds great, sooner.
Should work awesome for reverse sear on a couple of steaks.
Did ya use the water tray
I really like my kettle. Usually I'm bbqing for just the 2 of us. Looks to be the perfect addition to the Weber.
Thanks so much

Re: Trying out my new Slow N Sear
I did use the water tray. It’s recommended under 300 degrees.
Only trouble I had was leaks on the kettle and binder clips helped with that.

Re: Trying out my new Slow N Sear
I love my Slow N Sear. Its not like having a good stick burner but it will do the job for smaller cooks.
