today is Vietnam Veterans Day
this is what I treated myself to for lunch ;)

I was not aware there was a Vietnam Veterans Day but I am happy to hear it exists. A very deserving group of brave men and women. I don’t think as a country we can ever do enough to make up for the way they were treated upon return.

Thank you for your service and that is a wonderful looking meal!

Nz also had soldiers in Vietnam as well, I worked with a lady who had a lot of time off, her husband used to go bush, what we say when people go and disappear, he was ex Vietnam vet, now it's called ptsd, we just called it odd behaviour. War is terrible at any time.
