Big D BBQ Battle / Free Tickets - Volunteers Needed

Postby Boots » Sat Jun 02, 2018 1:08 pm

If anybody wants a free ticket to this fantastic cook off at Addison Circle Park in Addison Texas on June 8 / June 9, I need a couple of volunteers for my team to help prep and serve for the public on Saturday, June 9 from about 3 to 9 PM. Other than those hours you can use your team pass as part of my team to roam the event, meet the contestants, and sample the great food. My cook podner Yoda is conflicted out (daughter graduating) so I am short of help, and any and all is appreciated. Just post back or send me a PM and we can arrange things, and thanks in advance- Boots

That sounds like a good time waiting to be had. We leave to visit the mouse in Florida that morning or I’d be in. Good luck at the comp and finding help.

Top 10 finish as I understand it, but not top 3. Couple of pro teams were in, including Big Moe Cason who won it all. Really tough field this year. BUT, as always, the bigger deal was the event went off great with fantastic weather and a lot of happy, well fed spectators enjoying the event. Photos to follow later.

We'll see what the rest of the year holds for us. With Boots Jr. heading off to Purdue in the fall, the usual farm chores and projects teed up, and a very full work calendar, my time is pretty spoken for already.
