Chimichurri burgers...anybody do one before?

Postby Copasspupil » Sun Aug 04, 2019 12:38 am

I have a wild hair this afternoon and thought what the heck, chimichurri burger. I made the chimichurri this evening and will put it all together tomorrow. Pics to follow.

Look forward to this. Chimichurri is one of my favorite sauces. Never thought of using it on burgers, but can't see why it shouldn't work.

I made the green version. How do you make the red? Also I’ve never heard of anything but the green.

I have extra supplies and I’m thinking about making the red version as well so let the battle begin...

Don't know but I've seen it in the Stores, however, I always buy the green sauce - - - google says you use red bell pepper, red paprika and red chili flakes/ETC :dont:

It appears as though I’m the only one wanting to try it so I did a dry run on some sweet potatoes and they’re pretty tasty. Making the burgers now and can’t wait.

Did you fry the Sweet Taters? If so, then GMTA because I was going to suggest them as a side this morning. :salut:

First attempt of the topping did not taste how I would have thought the reviews were but I adding more flavor similar to Bobby Flays online version and I liked it better. It’s had more garlic zip and higher herb flavor. Doubled the garlic btw.
