Would the real MAYO please Crisp Up

Postby OldUsedParts » Wed Oct 09, 2019 10:09 am

Grilling some Chicken Wings using Mayo and not Salad Dressing today.
Accompanied by some Crooked Neck Yeller Squash with Zesty Italian Dressing.
ABTs filled with Jalapeno Cream Chez and homemade Jalapeno Jelly - - wrapped in Jalapeno Bacon.
An Ear of Sweet Corn will be Grilled after Nuking will only get butter and S&P prior to gnawing off of the Cob.
Everything was dusted with Suckle Busters Hootchie Mama except the Corn.

Looks much better than the swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes we had for dinner. I too would trade.

Too late to trade
A clean plate's been made
And seeing the plate that's clean
Just means I ate the whole thing

The Mayo did offer some crispness but not like it did on the whole bird.
They were very good but I must confess that I prefer letting the wing skin stand on it's own with a sauce topping during grilling.

Looks good Parts.

Have you ever tried Sweet Baby Rays Buffalo Sauce? It’s surprisingly good. Plus when they have sales on the BBQ sauce it usually covers the wing sauce as well. I baste it on for the last 10 minutes or so of the cook.

Thanks, I used to be a Sweet Baby Rays full time user but kinda got away from it, however, I'm gonna check that Buffalo Sauce out next time I see it. For years I only marinated overnight in Allegro Creole Marinade but they quit making it or the store quit stocking it???? :banghead:

I need wings in my life soon! Looking good, EM! I second the SBR buffalo. I usually make my own and on a whim, decided to try a store brand. Definitely worth a shot, sir! :salut:
