BBQ Master in training...

Postby aintskeerd » Sun Jun 05, 2011 1:02 pm

Hey Guy and Gals, its time to introduce myself. My name is Richard Munoz, originally from Banquete Texas, just out side of Corpus Christi. I have been in Tucson Arizona for just over 4 years and have been on a quest since I have been here to find great BBQ. I love to grill anything, from animals that moo, fly, swim, to fruit and veggies. I tell you what, it has been a tough journey :banghead: and I firmly believe that in Arizona you have to come to my house  to find it. I am a self taught student attending the University of BBQ and I have found a forum where I can expand my knowledge and learn from the Greats! :wav:

I will try anything, that why I Aintskeerd!

Cheers,

Richard

Thanks for the Warm Welcome, feels like I'm starting the pit. I forgot to post a pic of my saliva machine. My father put this together for me 2 years ago. It's not too big, but I had to haul it back to Tucson and I don't have a pick up anymore. It is 16" pipe, 37" long, and 3/8" thick which provides us with 476 sq in of grilling awesomeness. And if it gets too hot, I can cool off in the pool.

I just moved back to Texas from Phoenix. There is a good competition circuit in AZ if your ever interested. They even do single meat cooks for fun, you cook it at home and slice it up at a pre-determined location where they have judges.

There are two good BBQ forums in Arizona.

I know of a few teams in Tucson. As for quality Que in Arizona, it was, like yours, best cooked at my house. There are some decent places in Phoenix, but not sure about Tucson.

email me at wesley@pappacharliesbbq.com" target="_blank if you have any questions or need some contacts or information about the forums.
