If you are in Addison on a Friday & have some time check this place out. They are turning out some good Q. The only knock I have for them is they are using gas but still getting some good flavor. Usually they are a catering company but on Fridays they open at 11 for carry out only. No place to eat inside so grab your food and eat on the tailgate.

Had to dig this one up. Today's lunch was pretty darn good. Not up to Pecan Lodge or Hutchins level yet but they are doing some good BBQ.

Cattleack Bbq, Addison TX
This the review I out on my FB page
On a whim today I decided to try Cattleack BBQ in Addison. It’s a catering company that sells lunch on Thursday and Friday from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Small place mainly for takeout orders, but does have about 4 picnic tables for you to sit down if you get there early enough. They serve brisket, spare ribs, 3 kinds of sausage, pulled pork, beef ribs and turkey. I opted for the two meat sandwich (brisket and jalapeno cheddar sausage) and one spare rib. On the rib I should have asked for a middle piece rather than taking the end they gave me. Wasn’t much edible meat on it, but what I did get wasn’t too bad. Brisket was good, the smoke and rub was not overpowering and the homemade sausage had a good snap and wasn’t greasy which I like. Didn’t get any sides, so I can’t comment on those. Diners around me had potato salad and mac and cheese which didn’t look too bad. I must becoming a BBQ Snob as of late I guess, because I really haven’t had any bbq blow me away since my trip to Lockhart. While what I have had recently has been good (except for Slow Bone) it doesn’t compare to what I make at home in my opinion. I think it’s time I do the Austin BBQ Crawl I have been wanting to do for over a year now.

Hate to hear that it was a disappointment. Cattleack was place that I wanted to try next time I have a Friday off from work.

I wouldn't call it a disappointment, you should still check it out.

Re: Cattleack Bbq, Addison TX
Finally had a Friday off where I could go there for lunch. I ordered The Toddfather (sandwich with pulled pork, sliced brisket, a split hot link, and slaw) and also ordered 1/2 pound each of brisket, turkey, and spare ribs. The brisket and turkey were well above average for the DFW area, but the ribs were somewhat of a disappointment (a little too chewy for my liking). I rarely order bbq sandwiches, but I might order more if they were all as good as the Toddfather. The brisket had a nice bark and good smoke to it, the pulled pork was very flavorful, and the hot link gave it a little kick. Not usually a sauce guy either, but I put some on the sandwich and thought it was pretty decent too.
