Can anyone give me a good place to buy wood chunks in the Dallas area? I'm looking for oak, hickory and fruitwoods.

Thanks, Mike

I got a wood guy in richardson. I just cut the wood in half on my chopsaw to get chunks about 7 inches long. Thats what my little smoker does best on.
Thank You to all the fine folks here for all the tips and advice so I can now smoke a chunk of meat and folks actually eat it.

His name is Matt. He is on lorrie in Richardson sorta Arappaho /75 area. I got a bunch of redoak because that's all he had when I needed wood but he said he has pecan just had not made a run to his land before i needed my wood. He brings his wood in from his place in Ark. His number is 972 690 3359.

Went over to Academy yesterday to load up at the charcoal sale. While I was there I bought a bag of orangewood chunks. Has anyone tried orangewood before?

I like to buy my wood chunks at Academy. My father brings me down apple and cherry from Upstate NY when he visits. He burns it in the fireplace and I use it for tastier purposes.
