Postby Smoked » Wed Feb 06, 2008 7:36 am

This is the cook off some of you guys missed last year...Time to plan for the 2nd annual BBQ Cook Off and Classic Car...!!!!

Event dates--- September 19th & 20th, same place, Bass Pro Shop Grapevine

Registration will be posted on our website ON MARCH 1st....and you 20 teams will have the opportunity as our "Original Cooking Team Alumni" to get your spot first.

We don't have it confirmed if Trace will be back with The Ultimate Smoker & Grill, so until we get his yah or nay, we will have 25 cooking teams with him, or 40 without him (all about space!)

So..March 1st go to www.campcraigallen.org and get registered!

All right! Now this is just too cool. I live just a few miles down the road (Copper Canyon) from the Bass Pro Shop. My family and I happen to live and work at a camp that serves children and adults with disabilities, Camp Summit.

What a cool event. Meet kindred spirits, enjoy some tasty BBQ and drool over sweet rides! I'm there :!:

I've got to contact one of camp cooks to see if he might be interested. He has a really nice rolling rig that would do a good job. He is, of course, the master of his grill. I would happily sign on as a grill dog to watch things......taste things....smell things..... :D

Just to make it official, the check cleared. Chuck, Laura, and I are officially entered in this competition. Yes, the three of us. Together. In one town. Cooking. In a competition.

 What the heck have I gotten myself into?
