My Gator Pit

Postby 3970010 » Wed Feb 28, 2007 7:29 am

Here are some pictures of when I got the pit home. I have since taken it back an gotten a sink, water tank and pump, and a water heater installed on the back side which I do not have pictures of yet. I am going to do a practice run on brisket this weekend so I will get pictures of it then.

I also own a pretty nice Pitts & Spitts comp trailer that I will photograph for yall.

I actually loan both rigs out to my clients. Kind of a bribe, if you will.

Hey 397, Nice Pit.

What is the square tubing in the fire box used for?

Oh, ok. That little box you see has a propane line hooked up to it. I put wood or lump in the firebox and then I put a flame to the little box (log lighter) after I have turned the gas valve on and it lights the wood or lump. This way you are not using a chiminey or lighter flood or newspaper or old dead squirrels to light the wood.
