Thanks guy's...
Hi folks-
I really appreciate the kind words and the warm welcome... I look forward to being a frequent poster on the forum. I've enjoyed BBQ since my first bite as a little kid in the mid 60's. Was hooked! I'd like to see everyone's perspective on BBQ. I travel a fair amount and hit these joints when ever I can. There is a pretty good trail of BBQ joints (famous ones) in Texas up & down I35. Not too long ago, Texas Driver magazine did a review on them..so, I had to see if they were right. I can try to find the article online if I get some requests.
Also a big favorite, though I don't get it much around here is the BBQ pork shoulder/butts with the mustard based sauce. Though I like the sauce, in my opinion, BBQ 'dun right' can be eaten as-is, where is! My all time favorite (so far in my 46 years) is Angelo's over in Fort Worth off of While Settlement. Always cooked to a high standard. Always worth the trip from Dallas (home of no good or even remarkable BBQ joints IMO!). Another plus, is they always have the coldest beer on tap and even offer a dark beer too!
I will be needing a smoker at some point, I love to cook, just never used a smoker to any large extent... And, as smoked meat goes... Great beef jerkey is always worthy of a off road excursion.
Thanks guys! Glad to be aboard...

Consider this your first request!
I went to the magazine website but never could find a search window there.
