Vacuum Sealer

Postby bsooner75 » Thu Aug 14, 2014 2:18 pm

Does anybody have a recommendation for a good vacuum sealer? My cheapo rival died so I'm in the market for a replacement. Looks like they can be priced from moderate to expensive depending on the model. I'd prefer to stay under $100.

Any and all feedback is appreciated!

I'd stay with FoodSaver for the <$100 range. We had this one before upgrading to Weston.

I bought our current Foodsaver during one of their sales. I'd get on the email list for their store and wait for a good deal. The only I ended up with came with a bunch of bags and the marinator container.

Good recommendations. I have been through several but like Okie I use a Foodsaver and a Weston (from Cabelas). I still use the Foodsaver more than the big guy It's just easier to haul out, use and put away.
Make sure your bagger has the instant seal feature.
Yes the Foodsaver website throws some great sales, just sign up.

Thanks Papa Tom. Kinda limited on space so the Foodsaver is sounding even better.

Food save works great for me. I bought from walmart. The one I bought from walmart, (mod. V2220) had to be returned several times.(not working). Then food saver runs a sale on there better ones, so I bought the V3485. Haven't needed it yet. Still using the one from walmart since 2007. My advice read the instructions and keep it clean. CF :D

I have a Weston 2300 and love it. It will handle 15" wide bags.
