we have to many rabbits here, tried growing tomatoes and the squirrels and rabbits got them all. We hear coyotes and owls at night but must be lots more rabbits than predators

When I was Serious about it, I put up an low voltage electric fence and after a while I didn't even have to leave it on - - just occasionally.

Looks a good sandy loam. We’re in the black transition clay (not quite the Houston black series of the really sticky stuff). Sure wish we had more sand in it. The folks over in eastern Denton County have the good red stuff.

It’s what I call sugar sand. I work hard during December through February adding dry horse manure from the stalls, Epsom Salts, Ag Lime, and chicken poop to help the sand
