We were fortunate. A lady died in Lufkin when a tree fell on her house. Trinity County got hammered pretty bad

Crossed the Trinity river on 105 between Cleveland and Beaumont this afternoon. Way above the usual flow, where there is usually a wide beach it was water as far as the eye could see.
And supposed to rain all week.

We got hit again hard yesterday, probably 3-4 inches in 12 hours. Dry today, but more likely through the week. Seasonal creek behind my house that normally runs a foot deep this time of year has run 6-8 feet 3 or 4 times in the last month. And all of it getting dumped into the headwaters of the Trinity about a mile east of me, and heading south to East Texas. Incoming!
