Outstanding trip Greg. All the neat places to visit within a couple hours of each other. The day we visited Crazy Horse, they had a blast scheduled. Kind of different to see the blast, and then hear it seconds later.
BP’s Thunder Horse Kat form was going to be named Crazy Horse. The tribe asked that it be changed because they considered CH with such reverence.
Enjoy

VERY NICE - - - - those old trains always remind me of my Grandfather (we called him Bobo). He dearly loved to see and RIDE those Old Trains that also brought back memories to him as a young man. Your Pics are high quality and well chosen, Pardnah, and I'm really enjoying them. You also have me pondering "one more road trip" to the Dakotas maybe?????

It’s been fun so far EH. Lots of wonderful places in our great land.
I worked the Thunder Horse project for several years. When they originally named it Crazy Horsethey had already ordered and took delivery of a bunch of promotional items.
They had to get rid of the stuff and completely rebrand it.

Re: Vacation/Road Trip
In Sioux Falls SD, KOA for the night. Went to the Blue Rock Bar and Grill for a couple of cold ones and a meal. It was a tough day on the road today running East across I 90 with a stiff wind out of the south. Hit a pretty good sized bird East of Rapid City, but no visual damage that I can see.
Tomorrow it is on to Prarie du Chien WI to visit and old cousin of mine and drink a beer. The next week and a half of so will mostly consist of visiting family in various locations throughout the Midwest. I will post pics of anything that might be of interest to some.

Not tech savvy enough to cut and paste the article from my phone, but found this on Wiki
