Will add my thanks as well to all of our veterans and current serving servicemen and women and reservists, and to all who have served or serve in the defense industries that support our armed services. The arsenal of democracy is only possible because of the dedicated people that stand up and serve. And while it’s not a day dedicated specifically to you guys, my thanks as well to all first responders who also willingly put themselves in harms way.

We are truly fortunate as a country to have citizens like this who defend our freedoms.

Bobby: "No."

Plus one on Brother Boots’ post. My father served in WW2, a Tankman. Fought in the Battle of the Bulge. I have his Purple Heart. He was shot in the neck, arm, and leg and none of the wounds were life threatening; a miracle

My dad served on a Destroyer Escort in WWII, fought Nazi's in the north Atlantic and at the end of the war fought the imperial Japanese in the pacific.
He's still around but very frail these days.
Those guys were iron men back then..
