No fire last night Sooner. The wind was blowing quite a bit and I couldn’t take a chance on catching the pasture on fire which would have probably set the woods on fire. We’re going to regroup for New Years Eve

I am very blessed with a daughter in law that is an excellent cook. My son and I did a couple turkey breast, to go along with big pans of garlic mashed taters, sweet potato casserole, cornbread dressing, and a big pan of lasagna.

To all the members of this forum I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas all, in hopes of a good and blessed year ahead for all.

Scratch NM stacked enchiladas and tamales today, backed up by a cherry crisp with an oatmeal streusel crust.

If you like Purple Hulls try some Crowders for a change. Bush's sells them canned and they are also available frozen. However make sure you never buy any White Crowders from a fresh produce vendor. Always ask the vendor "What kind of Crowder's are these" and Never mention anything else. If they say White Crowders run away. Brown Crowders or Silver Pods only. ;)

I’ll try some. The Wife doesn’t care for Crowders this I haven’t had any in years. People just don’t eat many peas anymore

I like ALL fresh Peas but my Favorite is the Pink Eye Purple Hull

However, they are hard to find these days.

You have chosen a lovable food menu list, and all of the dishes are fantastic for the special occasion of Christmas. I missed it last year, but I'll keep all of these foods on hand for Christmas next year. Thank you for sharing such useful information.
