Went to Costco today to pick up some kcups for coffee. I always try and get a brisket when I go there for stock purposes. Also picked up a tenderloin, I cut that up and use for breakfast steaks when I go to the races. And I picked up a package of sliced New York strip. I am going to pound it out with a tenderizing hammer and give some Philly cheesesteaks a try I think.

Thats what I was thinking. Under 4 for a prime so I went ahead and grabbed one. The tenderloin was pricey but it always has been. They had some prime tenderloin that was around 36 a pound. I figure choice is fine for breakfast steak and eggs. And those kroger hash browns you turned me on to.

Sailor, I probably only get to Costco and Sams a few times a year. I like the beef better at Costco than I do at Sams. But I buy my pork butts at Sams because they sell bone in, and Costco doesn't. I consider the bone a built in thermometer.
