PUMPKINS—. If you’d like to try your hand at some fall pumpkins to carve with your kids or grandkids July 5th- 9th will be prime time to plant. Different varieties of seed are available at Lowe’s, Home Depot, or Tractor Supply. I usually start mine in cups or empty plastic plant cartons I have laying around and then transplant them once they’ve been up 4 or 5 days. Our grandkids love carving the pumpkins. Depending on the variety you choose, these should take 100-120 days to mature
