Haboob! I know this sounds like the start of a bad joke at the bar of the VFW on a Saturday night, but it’s a real thing. For those of us with family in West Texas, the Panhandle, or Okie Land, you’ve probably heard the Dustbowl stories from the old timers. I always wondered what one of those dusters really looked like. And now I know. The link is to a news story from a financial site I follow that has several clips of the recent rare phenomenon up in South Dakota. Wow! Is all I can say, particularly on the first one. I’ve seen a sandstorm before but this is something else. I think they call them a Scirocco in the Middle East.

BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

I was born in Shamrock, Texas just off of Route 66 and I've seen some "Boogers" in my childhood but nothing like that
I remember being drug down to the Storm Cellar several times to wait "IT" out.
