SPAM LIFTING?
I generally now just ignore the nuttiness in the “Other 49” for the most part, but it takes a special kind of nuttiness to want to take a five finger discount on SPAM… gives a whole new meaning to SPAM in a can. Even Monty Python never thought of this.

Never a fan of that ?meat? but in my opinion, the plastic anti-theft case is worth more than the Spam?????MAYBE it's a Marketing Ploy/Scam to make N'yorkers think that Spam's really worth something

We have a can in the pantry now. Take some hash browns, onyawns, and a bit-o-Spam, add a couple eggs, and it's breakfast.
Moink!

Re: SPAM LIFTING?
I am a Spam fan although it has been a long, long time since I've had any.
When I worked for the forest service in Colorado we camped out all week and Spam became the primary protein.
Edit: 20 some years ago we had a relationship with the Spam sponsered #9 Nascar team they had the worlds fastest Spam can.... Lake Speed was the driver said he had gotten to the point he would eat it, his wife Rice adds"Reluctantly".

Great story PT, I remember that car, been a race fan all my life. That’s kind of like when Mark Martin had the Viagra sponsorship and ran out of gas a few laps short while he was leading….how does that happen? I will be going on my annual nascar trip end of September to Ft. Worth, then onto Talladega the following weekend.
Long live SPAM.

Those are awesome, wish I had seen those. I did once see the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile at a gas station in west Fort Worth, and once as a kid visiting relations in Maryland I saw a Spritemoble, a big long green bottle car. Can’t find a picture of one on the inter web now, must’ve been a rare one off. And a few years ago, a vintage 1915 ish Rolls Royce (actually assembled in America from English parts) on the highway from Midland to San Angelo. Intentionally stopped for gas with him so I could “meet” the car. Local rancher whose family bought the car originally in the 20s, and he and his wife would take it out on nice days to keep the engine oiled up. He was making about 35 MPH flat out and downhill, cowboy hat on, big ol grin the entire time. How does it get any better than that?…
Maybe the Lobstermobile (could also be a Crawfishmobile! Aaahhhhhyyyeeee!). The coolest? Likely the Zippomobile. The possibilities are endless….one could go bananas. The ultimate of course would have to be a SPAMMOBILE.

Which went faster, Lake Speed in the Number 9 “Spam Can”, or me heading for the bathroom after eating Spam?
