really nice to see pictures of the rigs and how the crew is feed and taken care of,
I have been in radio, telephone, satellite communications all my life, finally retired, never saw how offshore employees lived, was always curious though.
thanks for the insight.

Good Ghost Grub, G'Rails

Since you referred to them as "Catering Crew" I assume that they just came in for that Feast ?right?
Do your normal meals come from Cooks that stay on the Rig???

I'd love to be able to experience being out there surrounded by water and great food by the looks of it but Claustrophobia would absolutely wreck me being inside like that.

You and the crew are better men than me

The cooks are the catering crew. They stay on the rig just like we do. The cooks and the BR staff are part of the same crew. What is BR staff you ask, its the guys that clean the rooms and make the beds and do the laundry. They are all part of the same team. These days they are all Asian. Mostly out of the Philippines.

They prepare 4 meals a day, 6 and 6, and noon and midnight. At the 9 o’clock break hours they put out snack trays around the rig. We put our laundry in a bag daily and drop it outside our door, it comes back to the same door clean by time you get up for your next shift. I consider this crew one of the most important on the rig.

This is what the rooms look like for us working guys on the rig.
