A couple of weeks ago they were chasing here; they’ll start again when it cools down. We have the AC running this afternoon

My neighbor that bagged that buck a few weeks back went out again last week and didn't see so much as a squirrel all day, came home about 5:45 pm when it was getting dark.
He pulled into his driveway, got out and just shook his head.
3 good sized bucks, about 175 lbs laying on our Turkey mound in our back yard.

The next day his buddy called me up and told me he was coming down to my yard with a leaf blower, shovel and 55 gallon drum to grab our Acorns.
We've been here 15 years and this year the Acorns are out of control, almost like when you get Gizmo wet...... " Gremlins " reference.
Every day, Every night we just look out any window and see deer.

4 days ago he got his big Doe he's been waiting for and it was about 70 degrees. It's funny, they know they are safe here, but when they cross the road they are easily next nights dinner so they all hang out here.

I'm guessing mid to high 60's in Texas this time of year is on the cool side ??

The acorn thing is WEIRD. We don't have any but a handful this year. Normally you are in danger of your life from slipping on them.
