that wind will constantly remove the heat, that is why the layering works, by trapping the heat in. The wife was looking at her "millennial device" telling me all about the cold this coming weekend, just my opinion normally we have a cold coldfront blowing on halloween, still waiting for it...

my concern was that my "scent" would be blown and the Bucks could smell it - - - - their smelling ability is their best survival ability - - - of course along with hearing and sight

Those were canned biscuits. GRANDS, Southern Style Buttermilk. There’s 8 in a can and they fit tightly in that cast iron skillet so they rise very well

Those GRANDS are a Huge hit around here, very very good for something in a can. I'd Never snub my nose at them.

I smear a little Crisco in the skillet and then lightly spray the tops of the biscuits with Pam before putting them in a 400, preheated oven. I think the Pam gives them that pretty color and the Crisco prevents sticking

Yup, we use Crisco in a Cast Iron and brush melted butter on top.

My brother makes his own version of Cinnabons with these.

Good stuff man.

the store bought canned has taken over...
the wife buys those as well cause they are less effort, those looked really good probably cause of the cast Iron method.
seeing less of my shadow out at 3 or so, your deer are coming in a week or so...

They’re in FULL Rut right now in East Texas. I saw 7 bucks yesterday afternoon and 3 so far this morning. They’re chasing the Does. I’m waiting on that one I posted the picture of but have passed up 5 nice ones waiting on him to show

Yup, seeing a lot of deer on the sides of the roads up here. I've tagged my fair share over the years since moving here. One thing on their minds for sure and it ain't eating the crab apples off the trees...
My neighbors wife and his nephew just took 2 more this past Saturday.

They are worse than rabbits up here
