Been in Alabama this week for training.

Finally got to try some southern dishes. Biggest surprise fried okra. That stuff is good. I'm here for 2 more days and hope to try more. Grits, fried okra, collard greens and corn bread.

Anniston. I'm at the dept of homeland getting my cert for hazmat operator.

Good Suthern Grub, C.P - - - as a matter of fact, I'm planning on fixin a Pot of Collards tomorrow with Smoked Ham Hocks, Own-Yawns and Jalapenos. Might chunk in some Bacon also :tup: :chef:

I have a daughter in the Huntsville area, too far from you, Rambo is right get ya some southern fried catfish I thought I was a good fish fryer till I tried a few places in the Alabama area, they also have something called "white bbq sauce" just my opinion, the white bbq sauce taste better as dressing for the hushpuppies... :shock: Got to try ya some!!

I'd love to but the schedule is pretty restrictive. I've enjoyed my time in the south this week. Friendly people is understatement. Super warm and I loved that about those I met. I'll
Be back again for more leadership training there.
