Mud Bugs - HEB Style
we went to HEB for some much needed things that we've been out of too long and they had their Crawfish Kitchen set up outside. I bought 2# and brought them home to enjoy. Enjoy I did since it's the first good ones I've had since last year. I don't leave anything except the shell when I eat Mud Bugs and all the parts of these were delicious.

Re: Mud Bugs - HEB Style
looks like a "professional cooker" for those low country boils, I was always told to drop a stick of butter in with the mudbugs to help them shell easier but my grandmother taught me so drop them in cool salty water to get the mud out, they would always foul two or three tubs of saltwater.

it's been several years since I've boiled any live crawfish but, when I did,
I always purged in salt water and then rinsed in fresh water before boiling

It's been published by LSU that salt actually kills the crawfish.
This is what I'm using now.
