Most everyone in my Family, cept a few, are musicians/singers of some kind and my 2 Sons are no exception - - - both of them are good musicians and they also are good craftsmen at building and repairing things made from wood. My oldest Son has been making Cigar Box Guitars for a couple of years now and has gotten real good at it. Not too long ago my youngest Son was given several very very old string instruments that he is rebuilding. He is also a mandolin player and a "professional Bass Guitar Player".
I've said all of that to say this: Every now and then we get together at my House for a picking and grinnin (we call it). The last time I had them bring a lot of instruments even tho we basically used a Cigar Box (oldest son), a Mandolin (youngest son) and I switched from Keyboard, Bass and Blues Harp, depending on the song. We've all played Professionally but this is a Family thing and we're mainly playing some Bluegrass Gospel and Classic Country lately.
