2nd litter this season

Postby OldUsedParts » Sun May 07, 2023 9:22 am

Got some good news this morning. I saw some activity at my Bluebird Box and sure enough "they" have started another nest that will be the second one for this season. There's no eggs yet but I imagine it won't be long until the female starts laying some. I'll try and get a couple of pics of the eggs and ?maybe? the hatchlings but then I won't disturb the nest until the Babies have Fledged on their own.

if you'll click on the following pic you can see

over by the peak of the Red House and not the larger closest one

Well, we had a pretty bad storm yesterday and there were lots of dead tree branches in the yard. The Bluebird Box was even blown around and almost facing toward the porch. So I decided to check out the nest for any possible damage and, low and behold, look what I found. I'm almost sure this won't be all but it's a start !!!

Well, "Mama" is still doin her Thang
This morning at 7am there were 4 eggs in the nest but it wasn't daylight yet so I waited on taking a pic.
Then at 9:30am I decided to take the pic and, low and behold, there were 5 eggs in there.
