My wife used to live in the Dallas metroplex area for quite awhile before she moved to Houston. While she was there she became close friends with a guy in a running club, and eventually the guys 2nd wife as well. This weekend that couple were celebrating 30 years of marriage, as well as her Bday. Of course we were invited, but I was originally scheduled to travel offshore on Saturday and wasn’t planning on going, but my wife was. My travel schedule got changed, so I went and got the motorhome out of storage and we drove up to the Athens Texas area yesterday morning for this party. I was helping with getting things set up and ready for the party when folks started showing up, and wasn’t able to meet and introduce myself right away. When I finished the stuff I was doing I went to the motorhome and showered and changed clothes. After I got back to the party, my wife says, can I introduce you to some people now? I said of course we can do that.
Dan, it was a pleasure to meet you, and you just never know how small of a world it is sometimes
You just never know sometimes

It was for sure Parts. Had a nice visit with them, and took in a little live music show as well. Pretty good night, about a 3 hour ride up to Athens, and it’s pretty country up there. My wife has been close to that couple for a long time. They used to live across the freeway from cowboys stadium in Arlington. When we went up for the superbowl in 2011 we stayed with them then. That was my first meeting them.

Same here Since I discovered SPG, Campfire and Espresso, my salt and pepper shakers have started gathering dust sitting on the counter.

Parts it’s funny you say that. My wife sat with them when they were eating the other night and found out who she was talking to. She loves that SPG, especially on potato’s, I now rarely use the salt and pepper shakers as well. I use it on most everything.
In years past I have had a bad habit of ordering new stuff just because it was new stuff. I have quit doing that because I found that it would usually just sit and go bad after one use. As I just use 2 or 3 items regularly. But we were talking in the ride home yesterday and I told her that Dan had released a new SPG hot version, she wants me to order a bottle of that to try.

As I did as well Kevin. Being a big fan of VFW’s anyway, and you were right in my back yard, I was glad I got a chance to meet up with you and Miss Debbie. I can assure you the pleasure was mine. And the chance meeting with Dan and his wife was equally neat. It’s was one of those deals that you just can’t make up. I asked Dan if it would be ok to post the photo. Otherwise nobody would probably believe me.
