Postby Rambo » Mon May 29, 2023 2:29 pm

Well, I’ve procrastinated as long as I can today: I have some fresh Mayhaw juice and some fresh wild plum juice. About to start canning

I sure miss not being able to go find those wild Mayhaw Trees and gather some for a batch of that Jelly - - - since we moved, I just pick some up in Coldspring when I go thru there.

We used to take our Daughter to Camp Mystic in Hunt, TX every year around the first of July. The orchards between Johnson City and Fredericksburg always had beautiful peaches. We now go to Center, Tx to get fresh ones

I can relate  when we Deer Hunted in the Hill Country, we would always pick up Great Peaches after we had gone out and filled the feeders and checked the Deer Stands. For some reason they always seemed to be the best ones.
