Talladega bans 14 fans for throwing objects on track

TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Talladega Superspeedway has permanently banned 14 fans from buying tickets at the speedway following their arrests Sunday for throwing objects on the track after Jeff Gordon's victory in the Aaron's 499.

The fans were charged with disorderly conduct Sunday and posted bond at the track's jail facilities, Talladega County Sheriff Jerry Studdard said. Track officials can't prevent the 14 fans from buying tickets through a third party.

To me, it just makes them look as though they are taking action. Good thing, but I agree, they can get tickets from anywhere...

I am glad that they fined them as well. There is no sense in this kinda behavior from a race fan.

Sad that fans act that way It seems like some of the fans of all sports are getting unruly as of late. There is no need for people to act that way just because they don't like the outcome of a contest. It doesn't help a sports image when this kind of action is televised for the world to see.

Wow, baggin on a teammate......Kurt Busch might not be my favorite but I will say this about KURT;

1) He is a champion

2) He has matured

3) He is a Penske driver

In the past I wanted to hate Kurt as much as the next guy and I agree, Kyle is going down the same path but Kurt has grown up. Kudos to Kurt for jumping ship and going to NOT ONLY a new team but a new manufacturer

Because he whines and cries when he's on the receiving end but is never to blame when he's the guy that causes crashes. Just my very humble opinion.
