I was within 15 miles of Frisco today

Postby Okie Sawbones » Sat Jul 27, 2019 8:04 pm

So I HAD to stop in at Hutchin's BBQ. OMG! I love this place. I got 1/2 lb. of point, green beans, Cole slaw, and a Texas twinkie. I passed on the banana pudding -- too full. The brisket was just stunning. I don't see how it could be better. Great bark, tender, juicy, with melt in your mouth fat. The green beans were flat like Italian or Romano beans, cooked with bacon, and they were yummy. The Cole slaw was good, but I make better. The Texas twinkie was delicious, but be warned the pepper has some heat. Great smoke flavors. Wonderful experience. :texas:

You were in my neighborhood! Glad you liked it. I have been so full leaving that place I can barely move but always made room for both the peach cobbler and the banana pudding

I love their Texas twinkies

If I lived that close, I'd be the 600 lb. man. I'm still smiling over that brisket. :D

How does the “All You Can Eat” option work there? Serious question! I have been 3 times now and still don’t understand it.

Think it is 25 per person, I did not know they had it when I went, I ordered regular items at the front counter and the guy said I was better off getting the all you can eat.If you want more a waitress will come around while you are sitting and get what ever you wish.
How bout some more beans Mr.Taggert? I'd say you've had enough!

Okay, that is what I was after, a waiter or waitress doubles back for seconds. It did not look particularly friendly for someone to jump back in the long line from the dining area. Thanks!

If you're ever in McKinney, try the Hutchins a couple of miles east of 75 off of 380. It's an older building, so the smoke is in the wood. I've been to the locations in both places several times and prefer the McKinney location. Get yourself a "Texas Twinkie" while you're there...or better yet, several...you'll wish you did.
