Ever use a product called "West Texas Dust"?

Postby Gator » Fri Sep 16, 2011 10:08 am

It was made by six Shooter foods, but is no longer made.

Its an all purpose seasoning and has all spice and habanero in it. A lot of folks sued it in their chili recipes....

Couple folks called me and asked if I could make it -> looking to see if there is still demand for the product?

Thanks,
Gator

I've eat my fair share of it when I was in my prime Gator but it never saw the inside of a bottle ;). I never heard of it before but it sounds good.
Never met a cow I didn't like with a little salt and pepper.

Gator I'm In. I used to travel to TX for work several times a year (native Texan that moved) and buy this stuff.

I'll put up some cash to get something like it.

This was originally posted in 2011, in 9 years, only 4 people responded, I think that pretty much sums up the challenges West Texas Dust would face if anyone were to bring it back. It'd be like starting over. :whiteflag:

You’re already like Sherwin Williams: “We cover the World”.

One has to be careful about brand dilution and canabalization.
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

It is sometimes convenient to have a balanced spice mix ready. Although sometimes it's more interesting to balance tastes on your own. Everything individually depends on the situation, whim.
