Roxy's S.C mustard sauce
The last batch of pulled pork we made I whipped up a batch of this sauce. I'll tell you what, this is some good stuff!!!
Roxy's S.C. Mustard Sauce
(as originally posted on the Smoke Ring - Thanks Roxy! It's good stuff!)
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup Yellow mustard
1/4 cup onion finely minced
2 cloves garlic pureed
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
Combine ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
For a smoother sauce, blend on high for a few minutes.

Quick warning for y'all. When you make this, keep a window open or have the exhaust fan on high. The sauce was great, but the fumes from the heated vinegar were *strong*!

Once again, I will attest to the fact that if you take this sauce and your normal BBQ sauce to a cookout, etc. nobody will touch the regular BBQ sauce! This stuff will downright disappear!
Like Rob said, it can be a bit strong while simmering, but very much worth it! I am looking forward to making it again to use Sucklebusters Texas Heat Mustard Chipotle in it to sub for the tobasco!

Mustard Sauce
Made your sauce a couple of days ago to give it time to mellow out.
Cooked two butts last night. Just finished a couple of sandwiches
loaded with vidalia onions and the mustard sauce. Excellent taste.
Thank you!!

I offered this sauce at a gig I did in June with pulled pork and it went over well.
Strange thing I had some really hot stuff I put out as well and they used all of it, can't believe it that kra* was way hot. Later I heard that one guy spilled a bunch on his plate and he still ate it all...
