Special sauce!!!!

Postby JustinCouch » Wed May 20, 2020 5:53 pm

I just got through mixing up my special sauce that was handed down to me from a dear friend. Man I forgot how much sugar went into this stuff!!!! It is a vinegar mop that his sister used at her bbq joint in mobile.

It came out great. I stayed around 300 degrees and under for the whole cook. I was still able to cook them directly over the coals as I intended to cook the ribs on my new grill.

From searching around it appears to be a pretty standard Eastern North Carolina sauce. I've had a similar sauce on pork butt. It works very well with the richness of pork.
